With an aim to diversify its economy, Dubai, over the years, has made a transition from a trade-based but oil-reliant economy to one that is service and tourism-oriented. Laws were amended and new rules introduced to support the evolution of its economy. The driving force behind these efforts has been a vision that has sought to fix Dubai firmly in the global tourism map. Dubai Parks and Resorts is a child of that vision.

Dubai trysts with tallest, longest and biggest continue with this project. With Dubai Parks and Resorts, the city aims to embrace one of the best integrated theme park destinations in the world. It will be the largest such park in the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent. The project features three theme parks- Motiongate Dubai, Legoland Dubai, and Bollywood Parks Dubai, a water park – Legoland Water Park, a hotel – Lapita Dubai, and a dining and entertainment district – Riverland Dubai.

Attractions of Dubai Parks and Resorts

Each of the theme parks is further sub-divided into multiple separate zones with its distinct auras and ambiences. Scenes from several of the most loved Hollywood animated movies have been recreated to enthral the young and the old. To amaze and awestruck the visitors further, the park features inspired dining and living options.

Motiongate Dubai consists of five zones – Studio Central, Sony Pictures Studios, Smurfs Village, Dreamworks and Lionsgate entertainment zones. With branded entertainment from three of Hollywood’s most successful studios – DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Studios, and Lionsgate, Motiongate promises an enthralling journey. From discovering filmmaking to action packed paranormal battles to roller coaster rides to interactive play zones, Motiongate Dubai alone has 27 attractions in all.

Bollywood Parks Dubai is for the hardcore fan. It is divided into five zones. These zones are a recreation of the sets of some of the most memorable Bollywood movies. From the Rock On restaurant to Mumbai Chowk to the rustic ravines of Sholay and Lagaan, this theme park affords an unforgettable experience. The highlight of the theme park is the Rajmahal Theatre, which is the region’s first Broadway-styled Bollywood musical.

Legoland Dubai is interactive fun at its best. It is the first Legoland park in the Middle East. It features 40 Lego-themed rides and attractions. Legoland Dubai has six zones. It has the largest Lego store in the Middle East. From driving a car to steering a boat to flying a plane to riding the Lego Dragon Coaster to venturing under the water to recovering a pharaoh’s stolen treasure, children can experience them all.

Legoland Waterpark is designed specifically for kids aged 2-12 and their families. There are over 20 water slides to delight the kids. Here the children can build their own Lego rafts, take on Joker Soaker and go on splash safari.

Dining and Living at the Dubai Parks and Resorts

Riverland is the dining destination of the park. It is perched on a one-kilometer long artificial river with boats peddling up and down. With themes that take inspiration from different eras and places, Riverland is a vibrant destination for fun, food and festivities.

To extend their pleasures, visitors also have the option to live in the theme park. In the form of Lapita Dubai, there is a Polynesian themed family resort. The resort has more than 500 rooms and a number of incredible amenities. Options at Lapita range from deluxe rooms to specially appointed suites to luxury villas.
